This story of love and loss is not one I could soon forget. Kenny and Slayde both have personal demons and insecurities that they fight on a day to day basis causing a solitary existence. Kenny's only salvation is her little boy, Lane. Slayde on the other hand has no salvation, until a chance encounter with Kenny. These two connect instantly first as friends then as so much more while the story unfolds. We also get check-ins from Patrick/Elaine and get introduced to Patrick's brother, Stuart (who is rather interesting). Can't wait for the next in this amazing series!!! Damn , my 1st read of Tia Louise and I will be reading more !! I am thrilled to read the previous books of the series , although a stand alone if you had been reading along you would already know most of the main characters. I am looking forward to reading their back stories and the yumminess they have to share !! This book had so much hot sex I can only imagine the other books had it too !! I love reading about couples in love or just starting out that have that spark and great chemistry. Helps to remind me of the fun we can and should be having with the one we love !! This book is about Slayde and Kenny. Since I had not read the previous books I did not know much about Kenny. She had suffered a major loss , had a child with a guy she is great friends with , works at a gym and is an artist or at least had been to school for that. For years she has not been able to get over her loss and date any guys. Her friends all want her to get laid and move on but the sadness has her trapped and she just cannot get out of her own way. That is until Slayde shows up. Slayde has a past , a past he is trying to keep hidden. An attempt to start over he lands himself a job at the Jungle Gym from Rook , but this is not what puts him in Kenny's path. When she finally caves and heads out for a night of reckless fun she winds up in a scary situation and Slayde comes to the rescue. For a second it is tense for them to find out they work together , but damn after that second they are on fire and watch out or they will burn you up !! I enjoyed their journey , though filled with fun and hot sex they had a major hurdle to overcome and they had no clue it was even coming. I had no clue , holy crap I was shocked , that thought never even came to mind......Once secrets are out in the open and they see how life would be without each other they suck it up and choose to forgive and move on together. I look forward to more from them since I see how the series flows I know they will be around !! I look forward to Stuart's story and of course catching up with what I missed !!

This was a great story. The twist really caught me by surprise. The epilogue was fantastic.
