First let me say that I haven't read contemporary romance in ages. I read mostly speculative fiction, but I'm trying to branch out into other areas. With romance comes third person narrative, and I prefer first. This story had a little more telling (as opposed to showing) than I like, but, again, that might just be my bias since I'm used to the extra close perspective that comes with a first person narrative. That aside, I really liked the story here. I found the set- up believable and the characters engaging. The left versus right issue was fun, because, really all couples have some areas where they disagree, so giving them opposing party lines worked for me as a good obstacle. Overall, OPERATION CINDERELLA was a fun, fast read. Macie's underlying relationship issues were handled well and the ending was so very satisfying.I will pick up the next one. :) This was my first HEA by Hope Tarr, and it was delightful. I enjoyed the plot of an ambitious journalist trying to score a big scoop/revenge on a popular conservative talk show host who ranted about one of her articles in the magazine she works for. The characters were fun and drew me in, as well.If I were the author's editor, I'd have suggested she drop the Prologue, which I found to be a spoiler and the Epilogue, which I wished had been about Macie, Ross, and teenager several years later.
