Received a copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.4.5 stars. Quick, compelling & easy read. One of the best YA contemporary novels I've read in a long time. Loved the honesty and the humor with which Dawn O'Porter approached female teenage issues and friendship. Both Flo & Renee were extremely likeable and easy to relate to. "Paper Airplanes" is a great reminder of how difficult those years can be emotionally and physically. More importantly it reminds us how important a strong & loving friendship is and what that actually means. This is a MUST read. I re read this just for fun and this book is not to miss. It talks about growing up, making new different friends, and struggles from bullying to GCSEs. I really enjoyed reading this again. It's the story of Flo-a quiet girl living in the shadow of a girl called Sally who constantly bullies her and makes her feel terrible about herself, and Renee. A bubbly wild girl always getting herself into trouble she faces a hard ice at home and is always bunking off classes, pulling pranks and thinking about boys. Then one day these two very different girls meet and there lives instantly change!
I really enjoyed this book. I was instantly transported back to my youth and some great memories.
