Okay, Planetary gets better and better, this is a highly recommended series to any comic book fan, you will get here a smart and respectful tribute to almost all comic book genres, pulp, western, monsters, super-heroes, along with creative use of known characters from classic literature and even reinterpretations of comic book characters. Also, it's a short series that it's something good since you don't have to spend much to reunite the whole run. Highly recommended. The final chapter of the Planetary story arc culminates in a huge payoff for those who have been reading up to this point. Now that Elijah has pretty much rediscovered the nature of things, he uses that knowledge to bring about a climax. The disjointedness of the various previous stories begins to alleviate as one issue starts to flow into the next, in a slightly more traditional storytelling process.Plus, we get to enjoy some long overdue showdowns. My one reservation was an early reference to Jenny Sparks seemed a bit unresolved, perhaps as a means of linking in another Wildstorm comic series. But it is one of the glaring plotlines that seemed to go nowhere.
What do You think about Planetary, Vol. 4: Spacetime Archaeology (2010)?
Wow, what an amazing conclusion to an amazing series.
