hum.....not my favorite Harry Hole novelIt was "light" in comparison to some prior novels such as Snowman which was a needed change but this book just didn't do it for me. I realize there are "loose ends" i.e. Aurora, partial finger prints, Valentin which are intended to tie in to the next novel but I just felt the ending way "too tidy" and can't imagine Harry Hole would leave things as stated. Well, with Police, there is no chance of spoiling Phantom, and for a while there I thought Jo Nesbo was fearless by potentially killing off Harry Hole in Phantom, but he wasn't. But that is okay. The wonderful thing about Jo Nesbo and Harry Hole is through ten novels now, Harry Hole is battered, scarred and damaged goods. I want readers to point to other novelists that actually do this to their characters. Another thing that Jo Nesbo does well is create nasty, nasty villains for Harry Hole. The earlier series of books with Hole's fellow police officer as one enemy was a wonderful arc.
What do You think about Polis (2013)?
Maybe my favorite so far. But I'm feeling like I shouldn't be redwing these out of order!

Loved this book, a fitting 'end' to what has been a hugely enjoyable series.

Pretty standard stuff but very well put together.
