Well Book 2 of the series Shattered by Joya Ryan and it did not disappoint. I didn't think I could enjoy reading a book more than book 1, Break Me Slowly but I am happy to report I was wrong. I loved the romance story of Megan and Preston.The heroine of our story, Megan Riley, has always lived her life on the straight and narrow —the right boyfriend, the right college, the right career… until she discovers that her boyfriend is engaged to another woman and her career takes a disgusting turn when her boss expected part of her job description to give him some hands on job performance service. Heartbroken and desperate to start fresh, Megan takes a job as a night manager at a swanky hotel in New York City. But when a wealthy VIP guest checks in, expecting more than a simple turn-down service, Megan has to decide between doing what’s right or finding out just how right something so wrong can feel. For once the good girl was going to have one night to be bad, live out her wild fancies with a drop dead, handsome stranger in a one night no holds bar one night stand. To Preston Strauss marriage is something the hotel-mogul and confirmed bachelor,refuses to entertain, until he discovers that he needs a wife in order to maintain controlling interest of his family’s hotel empire. With his sheets still warm from a wild night with the sweet but incredibly sexy Megan, Preston decided marriage wouldn’t be so bad. Just to bad for our girl Megan that the stranger is the owner of the swanky hotel she works at.....The journey that Megan and Preston take to find their happy ever after is everything I expect in a well written romance. I can not wait to read book 3, Capture Me Slowly, Emma and Rhys love story. I would rate the sensual level a 9 and highly recommend this for a great romance read. As I mentioned in my review in her previous book in the series, I found Brian's character a little off and unreal.Preston was adamant about never having a baby and I still don't understand why it was a deal breaker for him. Seemed weird even though we were told of his relationship issues stemming from his previous experience.But other than that, this was another easy fun read and I did thoroughly enjoy Preston and Megan's coming together.
What do You think about Possess Me Slowly (2013)?
The endings on her books seem abrupt. A little more after issues are resolved would be nice.
