I was surprised by how much I enjoyed reading this book. I loved the clarity of the writing. Don't know how to explain that other than to say it has nothing to do with grammar, spelling, or any other English rules.I liked the story. I thought it was well written and exciting until the end. A definite page-turner. Do I wish that the ending would have happened differently? Yes and No. Yes because i'm addicted to literary romance and No because I liked the way the author wrote the story. Slim was definitely my favorite character, not that I liked him. He was cruel and evil but I was intrigued with the way his mind worked. If he hadn't been such an asshole I would have felt sorry for him. I really liked this book. I do have to admit it took me a minute to get into it. I wanted to read it mainly because of T.I. At the end of it it really left me wanting book 2 (Trouble & Triumph) right then, but it hadn't been released yet. As soon as it was released I was right into it. Wont spoil anything about book 2 but I really hope there is a book 3 in the works I have so many unanswered questions and hopes.....
