Quanto Menos, Melhor: Concentre-se No Essencial E Livre-se Do Estresse (Em Portugues Do Brasil) (2000) - Plot & Excerpts
In general book is nice, gives some nice ideas and insights. Tips given in the book are valuable (maybe not all) and you can right away try them yourself. Author tries to repeat main things through all the book, so you will remember them. Sometimes examples used are same or almost the same to those used in the book earlier and this makes you feel that you want to skip some parts of the book. So more variety would make the book more interesting. Also I didn't enjoyed the parts where author suggests to post your progress online and he does it few times in the book. But maybe for someone it helps :) Author is also not making himself as a hero or God. Style of the book is simple and easy to read. Was a nice read. I've read this one three or four times, maybe more. It's kinda the companion piece to that Aussie guy who's always on Oprah telling people to declutter their homes. Except this is all about decluttering your life. Perfect book for me right now. The move to a quiet town with fewer distractions. The clutter in my life really stands out. It's time to simplify and focus. Instead of having 30 books sitting on a shelf waiting to be read, and over 100 DVD's unopened, it's time to clean all that up. It might not seem like a book or a movie is lowering my focus and my enjoyment of even something simple, like watching a movie or reading a book, let's say, but having them sitting there waiting to be watched, and "I should really watch/read that!" does take away. The book has a lot more to say about less, but for the next year my job is going to be to get through my inbox so to speak. Once done I can take all that focus and move it towards something else.
