Disclaimer: Present-day stories based on a fake engagement or marriage are my least favorite. This bias made Let Me Be the One my second least favorite in the Sullivan series. (Sophie's story is the first.) That said... Vicki and Ryan's story is filled with plenty of appearances from assorted Sullivans to offset the fact that Vicki and Ryan don't behave like 30-year-olds who have travelled and lived. If they were in their late teens or early 20s, their refusal to ask each other some simple questions would make more sense. At one point, Vicki thinks about how she didn't tell Ryan about her divorce because she's read--in a tabloid(!)--about his relationship with an heiress. Well, everyone knows they're reliable sources. Vicki thinks of herself as stupid quite frequently. And around page 230 she decides that specualtive mindreading is better than simply sayiing, "Hey, Ryan, what do you think about building a real relationship?" There's too much high-schoolish (apologies to actual h.s.-ers) manufactured agita, but insights into the other Sullivans along with teasers about Mary and Lori generate anticipation for the next installment. É uma pena que a Bella Andre não apresente nada realmente novo na fórmula dos romances em seus livros. Mas apesar de ser "mais do mesmo", cada irmão Sullivan tem o seu encanto. Adorei o Ryan, a personalidade dele me cativou.
What do You think about Quero Ser Seu (2013)?
I really do love the Sullivans and can't believe I'm almost through all of the siblings! I love me some baseball players and add in the unrequited high school love aspect and I was swooning over Vicki and Ryan, just as much as I swooned over the other siblings. It killed me that they lost time together because they were scared of losing their friendship, but I loved that they found each other and their future was resolved. Bring on Smith!

I purchased the entire series up to Book 12 and I'm reading it as one book (to wait every time for a book would have seriously annoyed me). I thoroughly enjoyed the first book and I like the fact that there is a story and other characters to the series. Thank you very much for a very enjoyable book that I couldn't put down until I finished the last page, Bella. Now its on to Book 7 and Smith... xxx Linda, South Africa
