Fun Femme-centric graphic novel with plenty of attitude about a group of warrior women/troublemakers. It's very translatable to RPG gamers (the healer, the fighter, the rogue, etc.).I felt like the story could have been a little more complicated, and probably it gets more complex over subsequent volumes, but as it was, I was glad it was a library borrow vs. a purchase. I personally like stand-alone graphic novels that have the whole story - or at least a lot of story - in one issue. This felt like like a 30 minute episode vs. 1 hour. Otherwise, I enjoyed it. Seriously, how was I supposed to NOT love this?- Kick ass female characters- Tons of wit and sass- Great art (strong, clean lines with gorgeous color saturation)- Good story line- Snarky, gut busting one-liners- Well fleshed (stop laughing, I don't mean boobs) characters who are unique and can stand on their own, but together they make awesome sauce!- Unrepentant dropping of "F" bombs!
What do You think about Rat Queens #1 (2013)?
This is a fun new series! It has awesome wit.
