Read Pink Sea Glass Winter: A Shelter Bay Novel (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
Would give 3.5 stars. Good sweet and predictable love story. Author added a little more to it and it was an enjoyable read. Liked the characters and the believable story line. Claire and her son move to Shelter Bay. Her son. Matt is a great basketball player and everyone hopes he will help the team have a winning season and even go to state championship. Claire meets the basketball coach Dillon who is single and there is an instant attraction. Can anything come of this relationship? Will people think the coach is giving Matt extra favor? Will Matt adjust to this new town? His grandmother and Claire's mother has recently died and it is hard on both of them. Also several other stories lines about several couples is introduced and adds to the story. Good summer/beach read. Will read more by this author. Hmmmm..I liked "Sea Glass Winter," so why just 2 stars?Dillon and Claire were likeable characters and a nice couple, and Claire's son Matt is a not-too-troubled teenager. Dillon and Clair's relationship builds nicely through the story, and there's hardly any hand-wringing or angst between them. Maybe that's the problem....the only bump in the road is Claire's initial reluctance to get involved with Dillon because he's her son's teacher/coach. But she gets over that about halfway through, and the story just moves on from there to its conclusion. Nice story, but just tepid...so 2 stars.

Good light romance, but absolutely none of the tension or suspense often in a Ross novel.
