By comparison to Hansel this was a three star read for me. The storyline wasn't as dark... not dark at all, just a "minor" complication of murder.I also found the main female character weak. She just didn't get any better for me and to have the aspiration of being someone's "fuck doll" is just too beyond me. The H/h just weren't as strong as I would have liked them to be and the plot felt a little wishy- washy. Not a brilliant read but easy. 3 stars OK, well! I guess I wasn't sure what exactly to expect, but this wasn't it. I really became attached to Red. Her character was interesting and raw and honest. I'm not sure Wolfe was as compelling a character as Red, but they needed each other for either to work. Great scenery, a fast paced story line, and great sex. Really, great, hot, frantic sex. Yum. super glad I invested. Aside from a few grammar issues, it was a fluid read. Ella James hasn't disappointed! If you are into this genre, this is a must read.
