It’s almost like I was never away at all. There’s only one thing that’s different, and that’s Jax. He’s been acting really strange toward me. Most of the time he seems to be avoiding me, and when he isn’t, he seems cold and distant. I don’t understand what’s gotten into him. All the years we’ve been friends, he’s never acted this way. I had mentioned seeing him and Leena at the fair. Maybe that’s what upset him. He told me he didn’t have the heart to send her back home. There was nothing there for her and he is the only family she has. I just don’t buy it though. There’s something else going on. I know in my gut the two of them are up to something. I just wish I knew what it was. I never would have believed before the accident that Jax could be capable of hurting me. Now, I’m not so sure. Since the accident, I see things a lot differently than I did before. I can see the things in Jax that everyone else did from day one — all of those mannerisms that made them so suspicious of him.
