Yes, Liam had a point when he said I continually underestimated him, pushed him away, and failed to commit to him in the way he wanted—but that had always been the case. I had always been Unreachable Ruby Rose, and it had never bothered him to the point of breaking up before. In fact, he always seemed to understand why I struggled with intimacy and trust. He’d seen firsthand what I’d been through.
