Tara Kendall moves to Parable, Montana after the break-up of her marriage. She buys a ranch and grows chickens , although she can't bear to kill and eat any chickens. Sherif Boone Taylor lives right across the river from Tara. His property is an eyesore that irritates Tara to no end. It is only after Tara's step-daughters come to spend the summer with her and Boone's sons move back to Parable to live with their father that Tara and Boone begin to appreciate each other. A delightful story. I needed to read a romance for the library I work at, since we're trying to get better at recommending romances. This is not the genre that I prefer, so it was difficult to pick one that I thought I'd like. I was curious about the whole cowboy romance thing, so I chose this book. I was pleasantly surprised-I really liked the characters & the storyline. I know this author has many more books, so I would definitely feel comfortable recommending her to our patrons.
