Holy f@ck! Not going to lie, I'm a puppy dogs and rainbows M/M reader and love me some pretty little bows on my HEAs. Well, let's just say that my glitter was replaced with motorcycle grease and tattoo ink. I'm stunned. Such a ride!I read some of the other reviews about the characters. I'd have to disagree. Yes, Stitch's behavior is reprehensible and disgusting at points, but he's so utterly lost. The line about being so deep in the closet he's in Narnia tells it all. He's figuratively and literally in another world. That's what made me connect to the story more. I wanted to see how he'd find his way out. Zak, I wish I had more back story on him so that I could understand his motivations more. His actions in the end didn't match who I envisioned him to be as I got to know him. An epilogue would have helpful, not necessary. More like an after dinner mint just to clean the palate. I was definitely absorbed by this book which doesn't happen often. I don't think I'll reread because it just took so much out of me. 3.5 stars I'm a bit conflicted over the rating and how I feel about this book. Bottom line is that I really did not like Stitch and felt like Zak was a bit of a doormat. I did really like their tender moments, but then they'd destroy those to hell. This was the darker side of motorcycle clubs, so I appreciated that the author showed that and made it realistic. These guys weren't donating their time to empower youth ;) There were some moments that completely took me by surprise and had me reeling from how the MCs dealt with those moments. Must say I was concerned about finishing when I started, but I did get hooked in by the shady side of this motorcycle club. Love/Hate relationship with this book...depending on the mood I'm in :)
I like this book and MCs. I don't think Zak is doormat. I think He can stand up for himself. About Stich I did not like kiling in rage at the end, it is out of his caraeter. One more chapter world be nice in the end, little more happines. 4 stars.
