Edgy thriller reminiscent of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, but less graphic for a younger audience. Strong, independent female protagonist determined to solve the mystery of the sudden appearance of a large amount of cash tainted with blood. Reluctantly gets involved with three other teens who realize they've stumbled into a serious crime and are in danger. Good pacing, well-developed characters. Details of protagonist's life gradually unfold throughout the book while some other characters' backstories are described almost in one shot. Writing style is engaging yet efficient. This is a terrific quick read for teens (and adults) who like crime fiction, especially stories set in bitter cold regions with quirky characters. I'm totally speechless. This was clever, mysterious, so good and catchy book and I just had to read, read, read, read and read. This book As Red as Blood had so many holes that Salla Simukka didn't even try to fill and that is so clever. She did it because she knew I'd have to read the second book. And now I'm reading the second book already. Salla Simukka is sucha clever writer.. I loved the story. I was scared with Lumikki, I was so scared for her and now I'm continuing the adventures with her. READ THIS BOOK NOW!

vähän isompien tyttöjen Neiti Etsivä :) Nopealukuinen ja otteessaan pitävä.
