Rotkäppchens Rache (2011) - Plot & Excerpts

The series stays about the same level of action and humor, with the addition of Red Riding Hood as an antagonist/unlikely ally in an adventure that deals with Talia (Sleeping Beauty) and her past. The back story for Talia is full and powerful. The weakest thing about this book is that some of the interesting characters get short shrift (including Roudette, AKA Red Riding Hood), and a focus on Snow White's injuries that, while relevant, gets old. Before reading this book I thought it was going to be my favorite of the (at the time) three books. Talia was my favorite character going into the book and the book features her background. What the book made me realize was how much I loved Snow. Snow just wasn't the same, still suffering from the injury from the second book. The lack of Snow being Snow was a let down. I did however love the inclusion of "Little Red Riding Hood". I thought it was neat giving her the abilities to turn into an actual wolf and her backstory was so tragic it made her likable. I kind of want a spin-of prequel with her as the main character.
