He watched her go, took a long gulp of beer, and headed into the living room. She came out a moment later, wearing shorts and a top that exposed some of her shoulder. Damn, she was beautiful, so beautiful. She headed to the coffee table, picked up the remote, and handed it to him. “You can watch whatever you like.” “What do you like?” She seemed baffled by his question, so he rephrased, “What do you wanna watch?” “I’ll be cooking.” “You won’t be cooking all night, Allie. We can watch a movie or two. It’s Friday. You don’t have to get up for work tomorrow.” She swallowed. “You’re the guest, why don’t you pick something out?” He didn’t want to pick anything out. It’s not like he could pay attention with her sitting next to him anyway. “I wanna watch what you wanna watch.” A soft smile spread across her lips. “I’ll think about it.” He watched her as she headed into the kitchen, and then he turned on the TV and flipped through the channels aimlessly, waiting for her.
