What do You think about Rush Revere And The Brave Pilgams (2000)?
Rush Revere is a substitute history teacher. He has a white horse named Liberty who can talk and together they can travel back through time. They, along with two students Tommy, & a girl named Freedom, spend some time on the Mayflower, the settling of Plymouth, and the first Thanksgiving. They meet several historical figures : William Bradford, Myles Standish, Squanto and others. Yes, I was a little concerned about Rush Limbaugh inserting his politics into a novel for children, and he does. In my opinion it is done tastefully and actually is applicable in the story. This book was very well written. It had some tongue in cheek humor. The arrogant talking horse kept the story fun, and the Rush Revere character doesn't take himself too seriously either. I thought this was a great book.

I'm finding this book extremely boring. the plot is painfully slow to develope with not much to offer. the end product is walls of text amounting to little but fluff and filler.might make a decent acivity for a small child that enjoys the obstacle of words but for the serious reader Rush offers us nothing unique or inspired herethis is the type of book when given to a child will come to the conclusion books are dumb and unimaginative giving them no more time
