Rush Revere And The Brave Pilgrims (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
Can you imagine traveling in time and seeing your favorite past hero's? George Washington? Paul Revere? Squanto? Well that's exactly what happens in this book. This book was about time traveling adventures. It made you learn history in a fun twist. and it's very easy to read. The three main characters were Rush Revere (Mr. Revere), Tommy, and Freedom. Rush Revere was the substitute teacher for a couple of days. So Rush Revere is known as Mr. Revere. The way he teaches is very different, with his time traveling horse, Liberty. Of course he can travel in time. and one of his students Tommy, he is very smart but he doesn't want to show it. Being the quarter back of the middle school team of course he wants to be "cool."I enjoyed reading this book, I wouldn't say I LOVED IT also I wouldn't say I HATED IT. That's why I rated it four stars out of five instead of five out of five stars. My daughter, who is not a reader, has been begging me to read this. She was given it for her birthday, and all she knows of Rush Limbaugh is that he authored her favorite book. There are no political overtones in it, and gives people an accurate discription of what the life of a Pilgrim was like. I give it three stars, due to the cheesey-ness factor; but my girl gives it 5 because it is funny, and she loves history.
