I am so glad I did not give up on this series after the disappointing book 1 Corralled. There was nothing I did not like about this book, the romance was amazing and the hero and heroine where so well suited. I liked that Harper was a girly girl and she was sweet. She was someone you wanted to be your friend and I was rooting for her throughout this book.Bran could have been a little more alpha for me. The sex in this book was LJ style wow. I liked that we got a side show to the next book. All the characters in this series are really interesting. Please don't give up on this series just because book 1 sucked, this is a good book, with a very nice romance which is focal to the story and not the sex which I liked. I loved Bran and Harper!!Their story was much more interesting than the one in Corralled. What I loved most was the fact that Harper was not the woman that Bran expected her to be. I also loved the fact that Bran had been interested in Harper for most of his life. For his sake Celia intervened. Bran needed help. And Harper needed a job. They helped each other. Gave each other what they were looking for. Which turned into giving each other what they needed, deserved and longed for. Support, Encouragement, Compassion and Love. Bran needed someone he could trust. Someone to make him feel like special. Like a man who ruled his own world. Harper gave him that. Harper needed someone she could trust. Someone to see the real her. Understand the depths of her and love all parts of her. Bran gave her that. They fought their attraction for one another, they accepted their attraction for one another, they embraced their attraction for one another. Then they ran from their attraction for one another. Not realizing that they were not only hurting themselves, but hurting the only person they ever truly loved. Bran allowed the bitterness of others to question the woman Harper had proved she was. Bran showed Harper that he wasn't who she could depend on. So, Harper left and never looked back. Harper decided to give herself something to live for - instead of depending on others to do it. And once Bran was pushed too far...when he felt like he'd really lost Harper, he went after her. As he should've. But Harper didn't make it easy for him. He had to prove his love her for as she had proven her love to him. And he did. In an amazing way!! I love these two. The way they fell, the way Bran proposed, their wedding, their potential for a beautiful forever.
