Gwen grew on me a bit more, and I have to say, I've enjoyed the uniqueness to the tale. I only really have two issues with this book. 1. I find nothing attractive or endearing about Gideon. I just can't stand him in any capacity, even when he's being charming, I can't stop thinking about him being an absolutely slime ball. So considering the fact that he's supposed to be 'the romantic lead', its highly disappointing. I wish that the author made him a little more endearing, but every time I read about him or his presence, I find myself eye-rolling every time.2. The book moves so slowly. It just doesn't feel like nearly enough action for the length of the book. very little actually happens in the story, and the ending felt a little anti-climatic. I'm so hoping the third moves better than this.I'm still debating on reading the 3rd, but I will probably do it to try and finish the series. I really loved that book !! The plot is freakin fantastic !! I mean time travelling is awesome and how Kerstin Gier has it all planned and things make sense later in the book... I really loved it, especially the two meatings between Gwen and St Germain ! They are just perfect. I'll admit to being irritated at times when all Gwen could do was think of Gideon and how she forgives him everything when he's being a total douche but then it was her first time falling in love so it does seem logical that it would take all her atention. And she has enough dignity to not listen to him when she found out he'd seduced her on purpose. But then the epilogue happens and I'm like whaaaat ??? So I'm totally excited for the next one !!!
What do You think about Safir Mavi (2013)?
I really got into this one more. It picked up.
