Sanctum (2014) - Plot & Excerpts

I really liked this book but it was nowhere near as good as the first one. It was quite disjointed and suddenly there would be some bit of information that the characters had gotten but you didn't know how they had gotten it. The crazy warden also moved to a different time in history. In the first book he is around in the late 1800's but in this one it is the mid to late 1900's, what's up with that? Also I felt that the author had a new idea but wanted to combine it with her previous story. So in a nutshell very good overall, but a bit disjointed with story line and plot information. Ok, the corny dialog I can get past - but the ending was freaking infuriating. First off, WHY DOES NO ONE CARE THAT TWO STUDENTS WERE MURDERED? They sure as hell would not just let them leave that weekend. You've got at least one dead body, the ancient asylum on campus burns down AND a student (Micah) goes missing? One that was connected to Daniel Crawford, aka descendent of the warden, aka the reason a tour guide tried to KILL himself earlier? No. Way. There is no way I can believe that everything could just be DONE after that. Also, what about Felix? I feel so bad for him and just want to know if he isn't crazypants anymore. Is she planning on writing more books? I hope so because even though I am infuriated, I want to KNOW.Aside from the fact that I felt literally NOTHING was tied up, it was interesting. It went in a direction that I did NOT expect it to go, and I was intrigued by the whole cult aspect of it all. I just felt cheated at the end.

What do You think about Sanctum (2014)?

I liked this book more than the first. I'm not sure if there will be a sequel, but there could be!

My quick & dirty review: A really good read. Even better than the first book in the series.
