I would give this book 2 and a 1/2 stars. I think that there was a lot of potential here, but the writing was a little immature. Also, I've got to mark it down due to the sheer number of editing, spelling, grammar and punctuation errors. I understand it's tough to write a book, and I understand with the advent of self publishing I'm going to find an error here and there in most books, but this was way too much.I have most of the rest of this series that I purchased when Amazon had them on sale or free, so I'm going to read them. I'm hoping that there is some improvement as the books progress.I will say that I think the underlying story was pretty decent (although the 17yr old girl, 27yr old man storyline was just this side of creepy). Not a favorite, but definitely better than many of the new adult books I've read. Received for a honest review.. Scarred Love is the story of Darcie and like most love story heroine, they need a really messed up past. Check. They need a hot savior. Check. And a continous hard time getting together with said hero/ savior. Check. If anyone could have the worst of luck that would be Darcie. Reggie (the knight in shinning armor/savior) has been trying to keep his family safe especially Darcie. Not you normal family but one that stick together no matter what is thrown at them. With all it's up's & down's, we finally get to our HEA. This story did have all the elements needed but was a little choppy at times and a little plain. It did keep me intrigued till the end. I felt the best part was the beginning. It made you want to see how it all works out.
What do You think about Scarred Love (2013)?
I'm giving 5 stars for the plot and 2 ( less than avg) for the writing.
