The book Scumble by Ingrid Law was an amazing book. This book had me flipping through the pages because of its amazing plot. The best part was when Jonas the main character finally turns thirteen and gets his savvy and goes on a roadtrip to his uncle's farm for a wedding. This part had amazing detail and had me on the edge of my seat the whole book. When Jonas finds out what his savvy is, or he might think, he is not happy with it. When Jonas meets a certain girl on the way he becomes friends with her. Later on, when someone threatens to take away the farm can Jonas stop it? Will he learn how to scumble his powers and be happy with it? Will he learn to use his powers for good? Or will he fail? The book jacket says this is a companion to "Savvy", but I think it works best if you've already read "Savvy". There are some characters in common, but it's mainly the concepts that help.Interesting reveal near the end about SJ's family.Never did really get the thing with Samson being invisible most of the time.Liked the lessons Rocket and Ledge learned about themselves. Fun to see how the small town dealt with each other. And, there's something about certain people needing space to work things out that's as true of people without savvy as the kids with uncontrolled savvy on that ranch.
