Couldn't put it down once I started. Love these characters and simply love the fact there was not a lot of build up to the relationship.....I mean some stories have the entire first part of the book with the push and pull of "do I want to be in a relationship?" And "oh, I've been hurt so bad in the past".....this book only had really a moment of that and I am so thankful. I absolutely love Ty and Lauren!! Can't wait for Jillians book!! Review by Leeann4.5 starsAt the beginning of this book I thought it was going to be a light hearted read about 2 people that have known each other for years finally getting together.I got that wrong. Well not all of it because that did happen, but, what happened in between was a huge story line that I am so glad I got to read!Ty and Lauren have know each other for years and now that Lauren is divorced form her pig of a husband Jack, they are free to explore their mutual attraction.But Jack just won't go away He is determined to ruin Laurens life pretty much just because he can. What unfolds during his vendetta is nothing short of horrific and you wouldn't wish it on your worst enemy. The only positive to come out of this awful event is that Lauren and Ty realize how much they love each other.Ty has had his own demons to battle and is very protective of all the women in his life. The fact that Lauren was hurt and he wasn't there to stop it is something he has issues letting go of. Lauren doesn't blame Ty at all. She is very intelligent and lays the blame when it belongs, with Jack.They need to work through this together with the help of their very loving and supportive family and friends if they are to come out stronger.This book is very well written and although it does have a lot of light hearted moments, lots of sexy moments and Lauren has a wicked sense of humor, it also tackles one of the biggest issues in society world wide, Domestic Violence. This subject is approached in a tasteful way in this story and I like the way the situation was handled. If you like a love story with a strong story line and don't mind a bit of heavier content thrown into the mix then I would recommend this book to you!I really enjoyed this story and look forward to the release of Falling For Jillian in February 2015.Review by Heather5 StarsSeducing Lauren follows the story of Lauren (Lo) and Tyler (Ty). Lo has just gotten divorced and her greedy ex-husband, Jack, is still badgering, threatening and suing her for more money. Ty is an attorney in her lawyer’s firm and has known Lo for a long time even though they never ran in the same circles growing up.Lo is an amazing character. She has a not so great past with her ex-husband but unlike other heroines I have read recently she doesn’t let him stop her from living her life. She does not let it debilitate her and she tries to fight back by not giving in. Kristen did an amazing job portraying the feelings that Lo went through with her relationship with Jack and she did not make Lo wishy washy when it came to getting involved with Ty which I just loved.Ty is such a swoon worthy character and not your typical alpha which was refreshing. He was not a man whore and didn’t suffer from relationship phobia. He was just a nice (and very hot) guy who had his eyes set on Lo and what I liked about him was that he was not over the top. He was kind and funny and the type of guy you wish would jump out of the pages and land in your bed. The relationship between Lo and Ty was sweet and sexy and oh so hot! There was definitely some self-fanning going on when reading the love scenes. Ty’s protectiveness and Lo’s willingness to let him love her seemed so genuine. The secondary characters were great. I hated Jack from the get go and he just creeped me out but he was great to read because of that. Ty’s friends Cara, Josh and Zack were fun to read and Ty’s sister Jillian was exceptionally enjoyable. I cannot wait for her book to come out. There was a Montgomery mention which made me squeal!This book was a sweet and suspenseful story and makes for a great read. I highly recommend it!
What do You think about Seducing Lauren (2014)?
fter I read Kristen Proby’s books, I always want to move to Montana or Seattle (in her With Me in Seattle series) because it sounds like the best men are there…Ty Sullivan is one of those best men. When Lauren finds out that her sleazy ex-husband is suing her for more money, she turns to Ty for help. Ty turns her down and suggests that she hire the lawyer that settled her divorce and at first, Lauren thinks that it is because Ty doesn’t want to help, but that doesn’t end up being the case. Ty is way too into Lauren for him to pick up her case but that doesn’t mean that he won’t be there for her to help her and protect her…and he does.I found that Ty and Lauren’s time together was just so easy and simple. There weren’t those awkward moments of getting to know each other; they just clicked. They had good chemistry and it heated up once a relationship was started. My favorite parts were when Ty would either bring by food or have someone bring them by because Lauren would forget to eat when she was wrapped up in her writing; too cute. It was also nice to see how Lauren started a friendship with Jillian and Cara. Every girl needs some great BFFs and Lauren made two great ones by getting involved with Ty. Proby was smart in setting this friendship up because we got to catch up with Josh and Cara from the first book but also got to learn more about Jill, who will be the main character for the third book (yay!) Before I start I just want to say that I love Kristen Proby and I've read every book she's published. Nate and Jules story from the Seattle series is one of my absolute favorite books and I would recommend this author to anyone because she is so amazing. That being said I just didn't click with this book. I didn't feel a connection with Ty or Lauren. I will definitely read Jillian's book and even though this was not a favorite for me I will continue to read this author.
