3.5-4 stars. I really enjoyed the story, but wish it was a little longer or with an epilogue. This one is the last in this series (I believe). I had to go into this series with the mindset that it was written more for 18-25 year olds. It is geared more towards a younger crowd, so the situations, the way they talk, and the various other things that happen are that way due to the age of the characters and the tone of the story. Still a good story though. This story finds Lila and Ethan on the road trip that was mentioned in the first book about them. The road trip occurs like 6 months or so after Ella & Micah's wedding. You also get to delve a little more deeper into each person's thoughts, and again with this one there is a lot of introspection and inside their own heads conversations going on as they try to figure out what they want and where they are going. All in all a decent ending to the series. So I thought that I couldn’t love Ethan and Lila more but I was so wrong. This small novel that pretty much finishes up their story is the ultimate. We left off knowing that both Ethan and Lila loved each other but Ethan was still commitment shy. Ethan wants Lila in his life and he doesn’t want to be without her but after seeing the abusive relationship his parents have, Ethan wants to avoid hurting Lila. Ethan knows that Lila makes him happy and he certainly can’t keep his hands off her but the word marriage makes him wonder if they will only ending up hurting each other like his parents have done. As each day goes by with them on the road, Ethan realizes he doesn’t want it to end and just can’t imagine his life without Lila in it. So right after visiting the happily married Micha and Ella, Lila can’t think of anything else but her future with Ethan and where they will end up. Ethan and Lila take a road trip after visiting their friends and while on the trip Lila asks Ethan his thoughts on marriage and she’s a bit crushed because Ethan never wants to get married. She starts to have some doubts about how long they will be together. Lila understands Ethan’s fears and she is not looking for a wedding tomorrow. Lila just wants Ethan to let her in and make an actual commitment. They have a lot of obstacles ahead of them and Lila knows it’s not going to be perfect but she knows Ethan is the one she wants to be with forever. This is a totally short read but such a perfect ending to Ethan and Lila’s forever and always.
What do You think about Sempre E Per Sempre (2014)?
This was so short that I don't know if I can even give it a real rating.
