Shaded Vision (2012) - Plot & Excerpts

Yasmine Galenorn is an amazing writer! Each book keeps you coming back for more! I love this series! Keeps you going from beginning to end. So hard to put down! Def must read for adults!"Eleventh in the Otherworld / Sisters of the Moon urban fantasy romance series revolving, literally, amongst three sisters and the family they have accumulated in Seattle. The perspective this time is with Delilah. These books get better & better as the stories go on! Keep them coming Yasmine Galenorn you are awesome & you have a fan for life! Could’ve Been BetterI strongly recommend you read this series in order [Witchling, Changeling, Darkling, Dragon Wytch, Night Huntress, Demon Mistress, Never After (anthology), Bone Magic, Inked (anthology), Harvest Hunting, Blood Wyne, Hexed Anthology"ice shards", Etched in Silver novella and Courting Darkness] prior to reading this installment.I didn't enjoy this installment as much as I thought I was going to and it took me far longer than I would've liked to finish this book. The story started off really slow. The main investigation was disorganized and filled with too many secondary character interactions. This installment did not do Delilah any favors, she looked like a tag-along in her own book. Most of this book seem to be about everyone else but Delilah. Shade is a HUGE mystery; the author could've spent so much more time delving into his background and how his fate intertwined with Delilah's. That alone could've made one heck of a story.I rated this book 3-stars because the story was interesting. Albeit, the whole novel felt like a set-up for the next installment; basically a huge waste of time and felt like the sisters were running in circles chasing their tails.I think Iris's wedding should've been a novella on its own. Instead it was mixed into Delilah's journey with the two parts colliding and feeling mashed together. The wedding took up most of the beginning portion of the book. I enjoyed Iris's background adventure from the Hexed anthology and would've enjoyed a short story on her wedding just the same. One thing I did like is that the men in Delilah's household are fully domesticated and don't mind pulling their weight at home. They also don't mind "manning" the home front while the sisters go out and handle their business.I recommend this book and series to fellow dark urban fantasy readers and will read the next book Shadow Rising due out 10/30/12.I also recommend:Night Myst (Indigo Court, Book 1)Blood Song - Cat AdamsBloodstone (A Deadtown Novel)Once Bitten - Kalayna PriceOn the Edge (The Edge, Book 1)

What do You think about Shaded Vision (2012)?

Decent but still not great. This series is too easy to put down a book.
