I'm not sure how I feel about this book. I guess I should have seen some of it coming. But there were a few things that were supposed to shock and wow me but I didn't feel shocked nor wowed. I'm not sure how these things will play out in the coming books, but I will continue to read since I haven't been truly turned off by the books, just not feeling any amazing plot twists or story developments. One of the things I didn't care for was the druids. I don't like how they are just like shamans, only different country. Well, you know, mostly the same with a few differences. I would have liked to have seen something different. More differences, even if they do have a few similarities. Oh well. These books have been simple and easy to read. These books haven't been bad, but I'm still waiting for a book as good as the first, so on I read. I picked up the first book in this series because Amazon recommended it at the end of the Darynda Jones "Charley Davidson" series, which I just reread (and love). I completely understand the recommendation and after reading, and really enjoying the first book, I downloaded the rest of the series. Rylee Adamson is strong and tough, but has a soft underbelly and a strong sense of right and wrong. And she has a good sense of humor - which always helps. If you like Kim Harrison's Hallows series, this is very similar and you will enjoy it. Give it a read!

Is there a reason I cannot find this through Barnes and Nobles?
