Shaq Uncut: Tall Tales And Untold Stories (2011) - Plot & Excerpts

The genre of "Shaq Uncut: Tall Tales and Untold Stories" is a. the topic of this story is about Shaquille being introduced to the sport basketball and becoming the star he was. The main ideas of Shaq Uncut is that Shaq is disciplined by his father, who is in the military, for one Shaq's real father wasn't around and two so he wouldn't get out of line. Another main idea is that because of Shaq's growing at a young age his father taught him the fundamentals of basketball. After this happened Shaq just went up the chart. Shaq is called names that shouldn't be repeated about his skin color and his structure. I like the fact that Shaquille O'Neal made a book based on his life because I play basketball and I did almost the same thing he did as a little kid. I also like how Shaq started playing basketball and he played and played until he made to the NBA. In the NBA Shaq went through ups and downs with teams and teammates. For example Shaq got into a fight with a teammate because he approached him. Stated in the book "Hit first, question later" was his motto for fighting. I didn't like when Shaq went to games and the crowds would gang on him wit name calling. For example the Mississippi State fans called Shaq a "big-lipped African. This book Shaq Uncut: Tall Tales and Untold Stories is a good book especially for the Shaq fans and basketball lovers. The book tells story that Shaq never even revealed before. The story doesn't leave the basketball scene much because he is an NBA player. I recommend this book to people who are interested in basketball and things that happen to a star like Shaq when he wasn't playing ball. This book is the story of how shaq grew up as just some poor kid in the projects but against all odds made it to the NBA and won multiple championships. The book starts out with shaq as little kid and it follows his journey from high school, to LSU, to the NBA and his amazing career in the league. He shows you how bad his life could of been and how he overcame it. He also talks about his rap career, his business ventures, and even his acting career in this must read inspiring story.
