We all know what it’s like to be a fish out of water….love and relationships can take their toll on you but we make it through with our friends. The author continues the crazy antics and wild rollercoaster of emotions. We are brought right back into the middle of the drama of Camie’s and Tristan’s breakup. Everyone is pleading their case and picking sides. The rest of the group has a large say in this book. Each chapter is told from one of the other’s points of view. We learn soooo much more of Jillian, Pete, Melissa, and Brandon. We get a lot of the HEAVY with this story but the author expertly puts the witty banter and crazy points of view in place exactly where they are needed. We learn that everyone, at one time or another, wears a mask and that we cannot get time back. Amazing coming of age stories along with true love. EEEP! Cannot wait for the next! This is part three of a complete series review, broken up in order to rate each book.Lea Says: I rarely buy a book as soon as it comes out and read it that same day, but I had been waiting weeks for this and given the way The Other Fish in the Sea ended, I ended up practically reading it in one sitting! We aren't going to give away too much in this review, though, because it's best you take the journey along with the characters! We spend Shark Out of Water entirely in the boys' minds. It is one of my absolute favorite male perspective books of all time. Hands down. Tristan and Jeff broke my heart right open, while simultaneously making me believe in unicorns and soul mates. As a matter of fact, I would venture to say that Tristan, Jeff, Pete and Brandon are four of my top guys in any books, and yes, I am aware that they are teenagers. But, they are some of the most sentimental guys, teenage or otherwise, I have ever had the pleasure of reading.Kathy Says: This whole series just put a smile on my face. It was a joy to read. I was a chain reader - inhaling each book back to back. Then, when I finished I was sad it was over. I was ready to read it again. Just writing this review makes me want to read them all again! If you love humorous, romantic mature young adult novels, be sure to grab up this series and take the plunge! Lea Says: This book was rough, there was some tears, even in some of the most hilarious of times, but that is what makes it my favorite so far. Jenn Cooksey has an amazing writing style full of wit and charisma, with levels of emotion that bleed out onto the pages, making you feel everything right along with these beloved characters. The best part is that this series isn't over yet! There is more of these to come and I cannot wait to get my greedy hands on the rest!
