Now we get to see Max's story; after a car accident Max had not been the same after that night, where he lost the only lover he had have in his entire life and his ability to play football. It had been 2 and a half years and Max doesnt sees the end of his suffering. Alec, had lust after Max since the first day he saw him (and that had been since Max day one in college) Alec knows that Max is the one, but right now he doesn't know what to do with the person Max had become. After a series of events, that involves some D/s scenes (nothing hardcore or anything), a car accident, the meeting of Alec's family, and Luc and Justin acceptance of Max and Alec's relationship we get our happy ever after. And let me tell you, we also get our always waited sex scenes, that are seriously hot... The good thing is that the author is starting to extend the story and make it a litlle bit more slow passed.I really enjoy this book and so far the serie, I write this review after reading book 6; and so far, it's just getting better and better. I was really anxious to start this as I liked Max in the first book in this series. It was heartbreaking to some degree - but thankfully not too heavily focused on. I did think what was revealed about Nick felt a bit like a cop out - and that's all I'll say about that.Consistency issues hit this one. For example in the first part of a scene the person is in one position but the later reflection puts him in a different one completely. It would be one or the other. The D/s is TPE here although it is so sweet some might not feel it. Very little S&M just a very light spanking so if you like straight up D/s this is a good choice. I wasn't as fond of the babas as a word - but that may be because it is not in a language I speak. I did feel that Alec felt like Daddy Kink could be there with the amount (TOTAL!) of control he wanted over Max.
What do You think about Side-Lined (2007)?
Even though some of the ppl didn't like this one I really don't know why but I kinda liked this one
