What do You think about Sins Of The Fathers (1985)?
I listened to the audio version of this book immediately following the first book of the saga "The Rich Are Different." I enjoy the historical perspectives and the way that Howatch can tell a story from the perspective of different characters. In both audio versions, the reader had a limited range of voices (they almost all sound sort of the same). It was sometimes difficult to figure out who was "talking." I enjoyed the "The Rich Are Different" more than the sequel "Sins of the Father," mostly because the mail characters were less sympathetic and had less depth. In fact, the characters started to get on my nerves because of a series of poor decisions, and emotional immaturity. I found myself short on empathy. Nevertheless, it's a good book to listen too while walking or working out, or cleaning the house, etc......

So sorry! I've tried to input all my books that I read over the years this past two years, and that's the note I had in my list of books read. I'll try to be more careful.
