I thought this would be very interesting but I did not like the 'interview' format. This is simply transcripts from interviews with various old-school Nickelodeon actors. Each chapter is a different topic with quotes from actors about the topic. At the very least, the author should have stated which shows/characters the actors played instead of assuming the reader remembers what show a random 10 year old actor was on in 1992. Nickelodeon was my favorite channel as a kid, and definitely influenced who I am today, so it was cool to get a glimpse of what went on behind the scenes in the early years. I liked that there were so many different (and often conflicting) perspectives of the network and the working environments. The book would have benefited from having footnotes because checking the glossary every other entry got old, and some names that were mentioned by interviewees were not even in the glossary. I wasn't expecting this book to be entirely composed of quotes either. However, Slimed! is a fun and quick read, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is nostalgic for the Nickelodeon Golden Age.I'm off to find more episodes of The Adventures of Pete and Pete!
Loved the insider info, but the organization of the book was so jumbled and all over the place.
