I need the time to think. What am I getting myself into with this Aden dude? It's bad enough I fell prey to his sexual advances, not to mention my own weak morality. But now he's at my freaking hotel room! This is not good. I turn the shower off and reach for the towel. But there is no towel. Shitshitshitmotherfuckershit. No wonder he came out of the bathroom naked! And I bet he's sitting out there, just waiting to see how I magically manage to find a towel. I step out onto the bathmat and consider using it. But then I remember the last time I let the maids in to clean the room and reconsider. No way is that filthy towel touching anything other than the soles of my feet. OK, Signy— this can go one of two ways. Either I slink out and grab the towel, all embarrassed and ashamed of my nakedness. Or I walk out there like nothing's wrong and play it cool. I decide to play it cool and open the door. Aden is sitting on the end of the bed, his right foot propped up on the antique art-deco vanity table as he laces his boot, when I step out onto the cool tiles.
