Smoke Mountain is the third book of Seekers. It follows three bears called Kallik, Toklo and Lusa on a journey to find The Place of Endless Ice. Kallik is a polar bear, Toklo is a brown/grizzly bear and Lusa is a black bear.I read the first two books of the Seekers series a couple of years ago because I had read Erin Hunter's other books and really wanted to read more. I got as far as the second book and stopped for a reason I frankly don't remember and I wish I hadn't. I forgot how brilliant this series was and after reading this I ordered the last three books in the series and The Power of Three boxset. That's how good it was.Like many of Erin Hunter's books there are multiple perspectives, in this case three. Lusa, Toklo and Kallik. They have three very different personalities and very different views on things and I find this very enjoyable in books. As you may already know I enjoy having different perspectives. I find that this series has the right amount of characters as having too many regular characters can become confusing and a bit of a waste of time. But no, there are just he right amount of characters and often when there's a new character it leaves after a sensible about of time. For example, with Taqqiq. I was extremely pleased when he left (Not only because he was an extremely annoying and frankly unnecessary character) because I felt as if there were too many characters with very different personalities that were there all the time. And also with Qopuk. While I did enjoy his short appearance, him staying any longer would have annoyed me.The storyline is also, once again, a very interesting one. Just the fact that three very different bears, not only species, would unite on such a long and seemingly difficult journey. It is also always interesting. Erin Hunter also added little things to keep me interested, things that were irrelevant to the total outcome of it.I loved this book and I cannot wait to read the rest of the series :) Erin Hunters book tell many things. One of the biggest things that the author is trying to tell us is that pollution. We are polluting all the resources in the world and in turn, the animals are now getting less and less space to live. The animals are desperate. This author is showing us to stop polluting. Do something to help the animals and not kill them. Erin Hunter symphathises with the animals and shows us this in these books by that the animals aren't really mean, they only are scared of us.
