Ok. Now I know what it feels to have my heart literally skip a beat. This book killed me. Somehow.Sometimes It Lasts truly captured ones image of love. It was amazing. I fell deep for the relationship between Cage and Eva since book three, but this... THIS. Their separation was non like other; you could just sympathise with Cage and Eva, it hurt. This book made me come to think of just how frail love is at any given moment. Whether you are happy, or grieving, because without trust and deep admiration, it will all come falling apart. And they did. But the best part was reading how it all came back together. It wasn't forced upon, but somehow Cage and Eva slowly found their home, and that is each other. This is more of a 4.5 stars review but the overall reaction to the book was obsessive need to read more of it. This is a continuation to Cage and Eva’s story and it was one that I did not expect. I was wondering what they’ll have to overcome this time for them to get a second book and I was a bit upset about all that happened but I still enjoyed reading their story. However I was a bit disappointed by Eva this time. She had a lot to deal with during this hard time for her and she was in a bad place and that is a good excuse but not for everything. Like I said she had a lot to deal with and things kept on coming and it was very tough period for her. What happened to her is not something most people will be able to deal with as well as she did. She was strong and I admired her for it. Just she could have done some things differently. Cage wasn’t perfect either…. I know it sounds strange, especially with how obsessed he is with Eva, but fact is, he made some bad decision as well. Had to give it to him that most of the shit that happened with him wasn’t his fault but he also didn’t handle things as he probably should have. I like the beginning and the end of this book. Everything that happened in the middle kind of was due to a butterfly effect of something that happened and I didn’t feel good about it. But the ending was beautiful and I loved it and I really want to read the next book in the series. I have to say that it wasn’t the strongest in the series and it’s obvious that I am not as excited as I was with the previous books but it got better as I kept going and I was not disappointed with the finale. I enjoyed so many things, some concerning other characters from the previous books (LOW) and I loved the interaction between the characters. The whole idea of them being a huge happy family full of so much color and emotion. The difference between all the characters we’ve already met and how well they all fit together fascinates me and I especially loved that one scene in the Hospital, you’ll know which one if you’ve read the book… I love the series even more with each new book I read because it’s not just about a pair of characters but it always brings more new people and a lot of the ones we already know. I just really enjoy these stories and I’m really looking forward to reading the next which I’m starting later today.
Now, While it Lasts is the first book in Cage and Eva's story but I didn't love it. It was okay for me but wasn't quite as strong as some of Abbi Glines' other books such as Because of Low. Anyway, I went into this one months after reading While it Lasts so I'd sort of forgotten what had been going on. Cage and Eva had a rocky road to start on but at the beginning of this book they're very happily together. However, Cage has just got a baseball scholarship out of town and wants Eva to go with him. She finds out early on that her dad is sick and needs her help so she has to stay behind. I complained that there weren't enough set backs and problems in the first part of their story but I sure got what I was missing with this book. The thing I loved the most about this book was the journey that Cage and Eva went on together even though they were apart. Another thing I complained about with the previous book was not enough plot and too much sex but that wasn't the case at all this time around. Both characters have a lot to overcome and they need to do it alone before they can really sort out their relationship. Seeing each character apart was a good thing too because when they're together the chemistry sort of overtakes things at times. However, although Cage and Eva being apart was a good thing in a way, there were also aspects that I didn't like. Cage was totally obsessed with Eva and I just couldn't see him walking away from her considering the situation she was in. His actions just didn't seem to fit his character at all times so I was a bit baffled at a couple of different points in the story. Eva also does things really out of character so it wasn't just Cage that was confusing. Sometimes it Lasts has a much stronger plot that While it Lasts and the characters were much better in some ways as they were fleshed out more this time around. This one was still just an okay read for me though because I still wanted more.

This story made me cry. Its rare but Eva had lost so much and been through so much in While it Lasts and then what happened in this book. It broke my heart when she was all alone and couldn't work things out with Cage but she's strong. She was willing to sacrifice having true love to have her dad see her happy before he left her.Abbi Glines yanked at ny heart strings in this to the end and I gobbled the ending like a starving man because I needed it and I'm a sucker for them.

It was an interesting book, The main problems I have with these books is the grammatical errors!
