I had read the third book in this series a while ago and I really liked that one. So I bought book one and two in the series not so long ago. I started reading Soul bonds, but just gave up. It was too much. I could never really get into the whole soul bond and I couldn´t really get into Sammi´s frame of mind. So I gave up. Started the second book, and although it wasn´t much better I got through it. So for the challenge I thought I would give this one another chance. So I got through it, but with a lot of skimming. It just wasn´t for me. I really enjoyed the third book and the character of Sammie seemed so interesting that I rushed to find book 1. So, I tried book 1 with high expectation.What I got was the instant "soul mate" trope and lots of sex. There was a plot, although the story was very compressed.I will say: I flew through this book; the author knows how to build suspense. I even had to shut the book a few times.Right now I do want to read the second book, but I fear it will be more like the first than the third. But I will probably give it a shot.
What do You think about Soul Bonds (2008)?
