Soul Screamers Volume Two (2012) - Plot & Excerpts
My actual rating 4.5This by far was my favorite volume yet. I loved the new characters she introduced. I think Vincent did a really good job of keeping the momentum of the series. However, I am worried about the next volume. I thought the ending in this one was perfect. I'm afraid it will be ruined with the next volume. Spoilers ahead:Kaylee: She has grown a lot since the first volume I read. I really like how strong she remains. I hated seeing the demise of Nash and Kaylee :( I really loved them however, the ending of the last book gave me hope for them. Nash: I love Nash. I hated that he got down the wrong path but I'm glad he got back on the right one. I hope he can stay on it. Although I can't stand his ex and really wanted to slap her myself a few times. Tod: Tod is the character that has grown on me the most. I really like him now. I did want to slap him when he told Kaylee to give up on Nash and let Sabine have him. However, I think he may be developing feelings for Kaylee. I also enjoyed reading Reaper in this volume. I was wondering if we were ever going to know how Tod had died. I certainly did not see his death playing out like that. However, it did make me like him more.Sabine: Omg! This girl is literally a new girlfriends worst nightmare even without her supernatural nature. No girl wants to deal with an ex like Sabine and to add to it her supernatural species certainly didn't help anything. Emma: I'm really glad that she finally gets to find out about the Netherworld. I think it's really important for her to be informed. I really like Emma and I don't want anything to happen to her because she's clueless.Alec: I'm not sure about Alec at all! Not sure what else to say about him. The hellions: I think they need to find something else to with their time lol. Beautiful cover just like the first one. So glad to see this series put together in volumes with the novellas included. Love the characters and how everything is developing. Tod has definitely become my favorite and I actually like Kaylee as a heroine, she’s not whiny like some other heroines. I can’t wait for a volume 3 to come out, but until then I’ll have to read the rest of the exciting series individually.
