I shrugged. He smiled knowingly. “Come on!” He said, taking my hand as we went back to the computer room. Resting his chin on his hand, he peered at me like he had some big enormous secret. Mischievousness was never more adorable. “What?” I said. “You look like you’re up to something again.” “Well, sort of.” “Ok, before we go any further I have to ask you something.”“Anything,” he offered.“What did you mean yesterday, about Dani? About seeing her again?”He raised one eyebrow, and I could tell he was a little nervous. “I’m not sure.”“What do you mean you’re not sure? Why did you say it then?” He turned on the computer screen and started typing on the keypad.“So you just made it up?” I grumbled.“Well, I don’t know… exactly.”“Exactly.”How could someone be so maddening and lovable at the same time?
