I am so glad I saw this while I was browsing the library shelves! I fell in love long ago with the characters in A Good Yarn and didn't realize she had revisited the group. I am glad she did. Her characters are so alive and vibrant that you want to be move there so you can buy yarn and knit baby caps and know that there are people who care.As a side note, I really do want to learn how to knit! I may have to explore the how-to section at the library.If you have never read a Debbie Macomber book before, I urge you to do so. They are always enjoyable and you can go to a good place when where you are is maybe not so good at the moment. It will help restore your belief that things will get better and get you through that rough patch. Just a wonderful author! Libby has been working towards a partnership at a law firm for a few years. She has given everything to the job. She really has no life other than work. Then she gets laid off. What is she to do? She goes to her LYS and starts knitting for charity - baby hats for newborns. She makes friends with the ladies and girls at the store, especially a pregnant teen, Ava. Libby goes with Casey and Ava to the hospital to deliver the hats. She meets a doctor, Philip Stone, there. At first she feels he doesn't like her, but she comes to understand and love him. She has made a life outside of the law firm. She is happy but then she loses something she really wants and it changes her. Will she ever be happy again?I loved this story. I like how Libby changed when Philip told her he was through with her. A lot of people don't ever change their ways.
What do You think about Starting Now (2013)?
I enjoy her books. Quick reads that are very enjoyable. Sometimes you need a book to escape with.
