This is by far my favorite Rizzoli and Isles book from Tess. I have read all of her books and this is THE BEST. This book takes you through a beautiful African safari and then a fantastic behind the scenes visit to the zoo! There is, as always, a murder to solve between the team of Rizzoli and Isles. There is a sweet and comforting relationship between Rizzol and Isles but I hate it when they are not getting along. I did love the interaction between Jane and Millie. Jane's confrontation with a serial killer helps Millie overcome her demons that she confronted in the African safari. It was hard to put this one down. Wow...this book was creepy good. An African safari, serial murderer - and a lots of clues that lead to lots of dead ends. I think this is Gerristsen's best book. The plot kept me reading and the characters are developing into likable people - except for Crowe who is just despicable. I'd give a synopsis but I don't want to ruin the fun for others. One suggestion - don't read this while eating - you may not finish your food. My one regret - I'm going to have to wait quite awhile for the next book in the series.
Tense but fun. Two mysteries -- one in Botswana, one in Boston -- gradually collide.
