Another wonderful read by this incredible author. All her characters are so diverse but yet relate-able.Shane was to die for, I loved how he was shy but then in the bedroom was such a dirty talker & not ONE bit shy. Yum!And "bluebird" was a great h, I always love when its the girl who doesn't do relationships & the guy has to win her around, and win her around he did.I love how the author calls her characters on their shit. We all do stuff we're not proud of like listening in on convo's when we shouldn't etc. But her characters realize they are doing wrong or being silly and we don't have that silly misunderstanding angst you get in so many other stories. For example, Shane keeps avoiding a phone call & instead of pining about it and fretting she just straight up asks him who's he avoiding. Oh and another time Jade is giving mixed signals but she knows she is and she pulls herself up on it instead of acting all hurt & surprised when someone else says it to her. This is my third book by this author and I have loved every single one & the wonderful characters the author creates & can't wait to read the next one :) Sometimes you get lost in a book. You find yourself crawling into it, tracing your fingers down the banister as you walk down to breakfast, paying special attention to the spoon as it curves out of your mouth. Listening closely as your heels hit the pavement. Breathing in the scent of the season all the way down to your toes. You find yourself walking in the characters’ shadows, eavesdropping on their conversations, wishing that you could stay in this gorgeous world with them. I got lost in this book. I got lost in Jade’s vibrant life. How even every day at the symphony house was different. How she could take the smallest of things, a snowfall, and turn it into diamonds falling softly on the earth. How she could be so overflowingly full of love, even when she doesn’t want to be. And I got lost in Shane as well. In his heartbreakingly beautiful journeys with his violin. How hard he works to get Jade to let him love her. How tender he is, but how completely he lays claim to what he loves. How he has transformed his pain into beauty and how proudly he wears that now. Watching Shane and Jade come together is an extraordinarily beautiful story. The story is told from Jade’s perspective, but we get such a clear picture of Shane as well that it’s hard not to fall head over heels for both of them. And all the rest of the characters too, for that matter. LH Cosway has written a masterpiece with this book. It’s a painting trapped on pages that only look like words, but are really varying colors and pigments mixed together on the fly to compose the most gorgeous love story I’ve read in a very long time. This book crackles with every grin, throws a wink with every cheeky piece of banter and traces goose bumps down your arm with every beautifully intimate scene. This book is passion and beguiling sorrow tantalizing you with every turn of the page. This book is everything you’ve ever wanted in a love story. I am so completely, unabashedly, head over heels in love with this author. She possesses an extraordinary ability to tell a story that you want to climb inside of and stay forever. Every single thing about it is so utterly beautiful, even the pain, that you will never want to leave. I will remain, thoroughly lost in Cosway’s work, for as long as she’ll have me.
What do You think about Still Life With Strings (2014)?
3.5*** I enjoyed the development of Shane and Jade's relationship. The sex was hot too!

Not bad but not great either, it reads a lot like L.H Cosway other books.

Meh. Nothing appalling, but nothing too memorable, either.
