I received an ARC from the author. I must say I have been Waiting for Ford and Adra's story for quite some tine and it did not disappoint. These two have been throwing each other heated glances in previous Club Volare books. We know something major had happened between them but we didn't know what. We find out in this book, where the history between the pair was revealed. We were given a glimpse into Ford and Adra's psyche and they both had trust issues that led to the end of their romance before it even fully developed. They both worked together at Club Volare in California which made it more difficult to avoid each other. Everyone that were close to them could feel the attraction between the two because it sizzled. The thaw in the relationship was brought about because of a movie being shot at Club Volare where both Ford and Adra were consultants. Unfortunately the movie starred Adra's ex who was a complete douche. The situation brings out Ford's protective Dom instincts and jealousy but also heightened Adra's issues. These two ended up burning up the sheets while trying to navigate their emotional turmoil as they made their way to their happily ever after. There was plenty of sizzle, emotions and yes even sweetness. Watch out for the end when Ford shows Adra how much he loves and understands her. I liked that Lola and Roman, from Marrying the Master, made some cameos in the book and they delivered an awesome surprise. There were a few mis-spelled words and sometimes cheesy dialog between Ford and Adra but not enough to detract from the story significantly. It was good to finally read Ford and Adra's story. Comment | Permalink Every Club Volare book that I read becomes my new favorite. There is just something about this series I can't get enough of. When I got my ARC copy in my e-mail I screamed like a little girl I was so excited. Ms. Cox did not disappoint. I've waited for Ford and Adra's book for some time now. I really wanted to understand why Adra pushed Ford away. I was drawn in again and love the HEA that ensues. Who doesn't love a Dom that makes you swoon. "You are the love of my life... I didn't know I needed anybody, but I need you...... I need to know that you're happy the rest doesn't matter" So good. Although you don't have to read the Club Volare books in order, if this is your first I recommend taking the entire journey and starting from book 1.
What do You think about Submit And Surrender (2000)?
It's about time that Frank and Adra's story was told. Loved it!
