This is a great little story on Donnie and Jandro, side-characters in Amy Lane's Johnnies series. Did you read Chase in Shadow, and wonder about Donnie and Alejandro? This one explains their relationship, as well as giving you a little glimpse of Chase when he was younger (he and Donnie were best friends). I didn't realize this was even a related story, so I'm glad I was clued in! And what was the cherry on top of this sweet little story was the knitting instructions for the socks that were a part of the story. I'm not a knitter, but I can appreciate including this information considering the story. I'm glad I read this one! Some beautiful imagery in this story, as well as two loving guys getting together in a way that only Amy Lane can describe. I'm sure you know what I mean there... Anyway - I loved this one. Super fun, all-in-one-sitting kind of story mostly about a guy in love with his sister's roommate. If this story has a flaw, it's that I felt like we only scratched the surface of what's going on inside Alejandro. This is good in a way—it shows Ms. Lane's skill at giving us a character who is obviously much more than just what's on the page—but was also a little frustrating because I wanted more Alejandro and what's going on in his head. I did like the ending, though, and I love that there's a knitting pattern for the socks at the end! (I knit but hate knitting socks—the idea of dealing with DPNs makes me twitchy—and I was still tempted to go sorting through my yarn stash for some sock yarn to give these a shot, because they sound adorable.)
What do You think about Super Sock Man (2011)?
Good book! The missing star would be because it was too short & there should be more. hehe \(^_^ )

Super cute and sweet. Can't go wrong with any Amy lane book!
