As soon as Starr could, she extricated herself from her ring of guards, flying into his arms. Ronan dropped the bags and enveloped her, holding her tightly against his body. She seemed so small and slight as he held her, so fragile. His heart lurched at the thought of anyone taking her away from him. Ronan knew it would destroy him if that happened. “Ronan! Ronan, can I talk to you a moment please?” Esther’s voice interrupted the silence, he looked and found her standing nearby, a calm smile on her face.
