Superworm is a hero to many of the other animals because of his kindness and his many courageous acts. But Wizard Lizard kidnaps and puts a spell on him for his own purposes. It's up to all the animals Superworm has befriended to come to his rescue, which they do, using whatever they have at hand to defeat that evil lizard. The rhyming text and colorful, animal-filled illustrations insure that readers will enjoy this story immensely. After all, who doesn't like the idea of a worm with so many talents? "Superworm is super-long. Superworm is super-strong.Watch him wiggle! See him squirm!Hip, hip, hooray for SUPERWORM!"This chant is often heard throughout the forest as Superworm saves and rescues many friends. Unfortunately, the Wizard Lizard hears it and decides he needs to control Superworm and makes him dig and tunnel for buried treasure. As Superworm is held captive, his forest friends devise a masterful plan to free him and rid themselves of the nasty wizard at the same time. When their mission is successful, Superworm is free to be useful in many ways once again. Superworm has many talents. He can be a swing or slide for small insects to play on. Or he can be a trendy belt or unique hat. Whatever he is doing, he is doing it with a smile as he makes all of his friends happy.
