Sweet Seduction Sacrifice (2000) - Plot & Excerpts

Very similar to KA Rock Chick. I would say the same set up. Coffee shop, hot bunch guys, investigations company and a damsel in distress.I liked the love at first sight idea and the fact that Dominic new what he wanted and went for it, I just didn't like Gen. I couldn't relate to her. She had a hot guy next to her who did everything to help her and she still went rambling about her coffee shop and getting back her ex-boyfriend to save the shop. Really??!!The internal rambling as well got to me, a bit too much for my taste but nice book. I am expecting the next ones to follow their friends and get more love at first sight. I hope, less description and internal monologue and more action and dialog. This book was extremely reminiscent of KA's Rock Chicks and Mystery Man. I quite enjoyed the read and will read on in the series but the book itself can be read as a stand alone and the reader need go no further in the series. When I was reading Rock Chicks, I felt compelled to read the next novel and hear the next story and the next and the next. The way KA integrated the other stories in her books made the reader want to find out what happen. There is a slight hint of what's to come between Jase and Katie but not enough fire to warrant and immediate desire to rush to their story. Also, because the hint was made between Jase and Katie, I expected book 2 to be about them but it's not. Now this is not to say that the book doesn't have some good writing and hot scenes but it could be so much better IMO. Maybe I'm just new to NC's writing style? On to book 2. Will see if that sways me in a different direction.

so similar to rock chick books by Kristin Ashley. but I love the stories just the same.
—Anna

it was cute and fun although it took so long for the heroine to accept the guy
