Hell. Our new townhouse closed in a fifteen day escrow. Crazy fast. I was not prepared and Carlos shrugged it off like it was no big deal. We would hire movers and all would be peachy fucking cream. He didn’t do the math. Fifteen days has come and gone and Carlos is in Florida at spring training while I supervise a house full of brawny moving men. The view is spectacular. The stress, not so much. My mother-in-law screamed at Carlos for over an hour about putting too much stress on the babies, since he was going to be gone. She thinks I shouldn’t be doing anything while I’m pregnant and, for once, I kind of agree. This is my last pregnancy. I want to lie around while Los feeds me grapes and chocolate ice cream. I do not want to supervise a move by myself and then unpack while he’s gone. Luckily, my in-laws took the kids for the entire week and my girls and the moving company are going to help me unpack. Normally, I wouldn’t let a damn person touch my shit, but I’m pregnant with freaking twins and I’m too exhausted to care if some hunky guy puts my coffee mugs in the wrong cabinet.
